La Jolla’s Art and Food Fair The La Jolla Festival is one of the most prestigious and popular festivals in Southern California. Held on the UCSD campus, La Jolla’s joyous celebration of art, music, food & wine will feature over 200 outstanding artists from the U.S. and Mexico. There will also be two entertainment areas and a wide variety of cuisine. Enjoy lunch on your own at the festival. Sister Act Sister Act tells the story of Deloris Van Cartier, a wannabe diva whose life takes a surprising turn when she witnesses a crime and the cops hide her in the last place anyone would think to look, a convent! Under the suspicious watch of Mother Superior, Deloris helps her fellow sisters find their voices as she unexpectedly rediscovers her own. Malibu Escape We’ll start our Malibu escape with a tour of the beautiful Lake Shrine and Meditation Gardens. This ten-acre site is home to a variety of flora and fauna, including swans, ducks, koi, trees and flowers from around the world. For lunch enjoy time on your own at the Malibu Country Mart, a pleasantly informal, yet trendy, outdoor shopping and dining complex. Pasadena History Today we’ll experience a bit of Pasadena history starting with a behind-the-scenes glimpse into the history and architecture of The Pasadena Playhouse. After our tour we’ll head to the Pasadena History Museum for a tour of the Fenyes Mansion. Built it 1906, the Fenyes Mansion is an 18 room mansion has recently been renovated, but still houses some of its original artwork and furniture. The Magic Castle Enjoy an all-you-can-eat champagne brunch and live magical performances at The Magic Castle. Hollywood Bowl Fireworks Finale with Earth, Wind and Fire The legendary group Earth, Wind & Fire has been the masters of funk, soul and R&B for over four decades. Their music has influenced popular culture for generations and has become the soundtrack for so many lives. In a triumphant return to the Bowl, they’ll groove through their hits, including ‘Shining Star,’ ‘Fantasy,’ ‘After The Love Has Gone,’ and many more. Picnic baskets, or coolers measuring more than 15’ wide, 15’ high, or 22’ long will not be permitted past the ticket gate. Re-usable containers (such as Tupperware or sipper bottles), holding food or beverages are permitted in the theater, as are wine bottles and wine glasses.
