The City of Walnut is proud to offer quality swimming instruction at Walnut High School during the summer months. There are a wide range of swimming lessons and programs that are offered to all ages in all levels of ability.

The following are the general types of aquatic programs offered by the City of Walnut:
All swimming lessons are taught by certified American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors, who are also certified in CPR for the Professional Rescuer. The American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program provides instruction to help swimmers of all ages and abilities develop their swimming and water safety skills.

The American Red Cross “Learn to Swim” program teaches aquatic safety skills in a logical progression. The objective is to teach people to swim and to be safe in and around water.
