SUMMER 2013: June - August
4th of July Celebration: Thursday, July 4, 2013 6:00 pm - 9:30 pm Suzanne Park Patriotic face painting, games, pie-eating contest and more! Bring your lawn chairs, blankets, canopies and picnic baskets and enjoy the festivites with us! (Sorry, no BBQ's grills or other cooking appliances allowed). The best places to see the fireworks at approximately 9:00pm are: Suzanne Park, Walnut High School Soccer Fields, and Suzanne Middle School Fields. Summer Concerts: After Dark in the Park The City of Walnut hosts summer concerts beginning Tuesday, July 9 through August 6 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at Creekside Park free of charge.

Bring a picnic complete with blanket and lawn chairs and enjoy an evening of live entertainment. A nice selection of food is available for sale by local food trucks.
Movies in the Park: Stay after each Summer Concert and enjoy a movie under the stars at Creekside Park free of charge.

National Night Out & Concert in the Park: Tuesday, August 6, 2013 6:30 pm Creekside Park Make plans to join us for the City’s 28th Annual National Night Out and Concert event! This annual event is held to remind the Walnut community how we can prevent crime through neighborhood involvement. This citywide get-together is an opportunity for residents of Walnut to enjoy a great concert while getting to know the Mayor and City Council, fellow neighbors, as well as personnel from the Walnut/Diamond Bar Sheriff’s Station. The band, The Answer, will be performing classic rock. Food Trucks will be on-hand selling delicious meals, snacks and other refreshments. Call 909-595-7543 for more information.
Kids’ Night Out Walnut Teen Center, 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm Saturday, June 15 Saturday, July 20 Saturday, August 17 Do you need some extra time for yourself, but are wondering what to do with the kids? Sign them up for Kids’ Night Out! Children ages 5 to 12 years will enjoy an evening of fun with crafts, games, dinner, dessert, popcorn and movies. Each night will have a different theme!Cost is $17 for the first child and $13 for each additional child from the same immediate family. Please bring a sleeping bag or blanket to rest on during the movie.
